Wilderness on Wheels Trail- Southwest of Denver

directions:  off of Highway 285; 30 miles southwest of Denver  *watch for a small, easy to miss trail sign on Highway 285 3.8 miles west of Grant

- "One mile boardwalk along stream and pond stocked with Rainbow Trout."

- "The boardwalk gently follows a moutain through a forest with wildflowers and rock outcrooppings."

- "Birds and wildlife can be spotted."

Rocky Mountain National Park- near Estes Park

Sprague Lake hike recommended by Barb from WI and the other hikes are listed as accessible on the Rocky Mountain National Park website

Sprague Lake Trail

directions:  on Bear Lake Road, 1 mile west of park

- half mile trail, 10 foot elevation change

- beautiful views of the Continental Divide

- 1 accessible backcountry camping site, call ahead for more info

Bear Lake hike

directions:  located at end of Bear Lake Road, 11 miles from Beaver Meadows Visitor Center

- paved 0.6 mile loop around the lake

- 20 foot elevation change

- very popular trail

Coyote Valley Trail

directions: located on west side of park, 5 miles north of Kawuneeche Visitor Center

- 2 mile round trip hike

- per park website "follows the bank of the Colorado River with views of the Never Summer Mountains"

- picnic tables

Lily Lake Trail

directions:  6 miles south of Estes Park on Highway 7

- per park website, "a level packed gravel trail encircles the lake featuring educational exhibits"

- accessible one mile trail and fishing pier
