http://www.nps.gov/pub_aff/access/trails.htmis the National Park Service website; it's a good starting  point for ideas, but it is not all-inclusive.

http://www.traillink.com  "The mission of Rails-to-Trails Conservancy is to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors to build healthier places for healthier people."  Per Eric at the Conservancy, "You can search by state for a list of trails.  On the right side of the listing you will see an activities field where wheelchair is listed on many.  Those with a wheelchair listing have all necessary amenities designed in for accessibility."  Thank you also to Craig.

European Resources

www.seefeld.com/barrier_free/en/rolliwandern.php gives very detailed trail information for 3 wheelchair accessible/barrier-free hikes in the Seefeld (west of Innsbruck) region of Austria/Osterreich.   Looks beautiful!  Also, lots of other travel info for the area. 

www.toggenburg.org/en/navpage_list-HandicappedTO-HandicappedHikesTO.html lists 10 "handicapped acessible hikes and promenades" in the Toggenburg region of Switzerland.  Toggenburg is the pilot region for the "Swiss holiday for all project."  The site also includes comprehensive travel information for people with disabilities.

http://walkingonwheels.org/index.html Walking on Wheels Trust publishes the Walking on Wheels book which gives indepth descriptions of 50 wheelchair accessible hikes in Scotland.  Some of the hikes are also detailed on this site. Also, check out the grant section of the site! 

http://www.fieldfare.org.uk/ "Promoting Countryside Access for Disabled People" recommended by Linda who says the site "gives a list of walks across UK- many on tarmac, etc"
