San Gabriel Mountains Azusa Canyon, West Fork of the San Gabriel River details and photos provided by Matt from California - directions: from Pasadena, continue west on the 210 Freeway to Azusa Ave exit (about 14 miles west of Pasadena), take Azusa Ave left/north up into mountains (maybe about 6 miles?). You can purchase a parking pass at the kiosk for $5 when the kiosk is open. You can also purchase one at the Stop-N-Go Liquor store on your way up to the mountains. The West Fork trailhead is about a mile past the turn-off for the East Fork Trail -  There is a small parking area right next to the trail head and a larger one just across the river to the left. The larger parking lot is bordered by picnic tables that overlook the river. - Trail winds along the river on a wide, paved road. - Several points to pull your wheelchair over and admire the view. - You lose daylight fast in the canyon, so get there early! - I found this hike listed on the Insider's Guide to Southern California Hiking/Walking Page.
